Know Before You Go

The Harvard Art Museums welcomes families of all ages! Please check in with our Visitor Services team when you arrive.

Please note children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult. Remember to walk and stay with your children at all times. 

We kindly ask that children are reminded of our “look but don’t touch” rule in engaging with art. Thank you for helping us keep the artwork safe!

Ask us about complimentary sketchbooks, scavenger hunts, and conversation cards to accompany young visitors to the galleries.

Single strollers, and tandem strollers are welcome in our galleries, but our galleries cannot accommodate double, oversized, and/or jogger strollers. For families with small children, we have a limited number of compact strollers available to use free of charge.

Jenny’s Cafe offers a kid-friendly menu, with seating in the cafe and the Calderwood Courtyard. 

Nursing mothers are free to nurse wherever they feel most comfortable.

All our bathrooms are equipped with changing tables. For additional privacy, a single-use bathroom is on Level B1.
