The Materials Lab session is offered in Chinese on October 28 and in English on November 4.

Join us for a hands-on workshop on traditional Chinese brush painting with master brush painter Qingxiong Ma. Enjoy this opportunity to slow down, try your hand at re-creating elements of the natural world, and ponder your connection to the natural environment. To inspire you before the workshop, visit the Asian art galleries on Level 2 to view the installations The Living Earth in Gallery 2740 and Human vs. Nature in Gallery 2600, both of which feature paintings focused on nature.

The hands-on session will take place in the Materials Lab on the Lower Level.

$15 materials fee. Registration is required and space is limited; registration will open on this form, beginning on Wednesday, October 25, at 10am. Materials fee must be paid to confirm registration. Please email am_register@harvard.edu or call 617-495-1440 to join the waitlist. Minimum age of 14; no previous experience required.
