Join curatorial fellow Jackson Davidow for a rare exploration of the photography of Bruce Cratsley, an important yet understudied gay artist active in New York from the 1970s to the 1990s. Examining Cratsley’s 25 gelatin silver prints in the Harvard Art Museums collections, we will reconstruct his life story while paying close attention to his technique and subject matter. We will focus on his compassionate portraits and brooding self-portraits.

Led by:
Jackson Davidow, John R. and Barbara Robinson Family Curatorial Fellow in Photography, Division of Modern and Contemporary Art
