What does it mean to be uprooted from culture and home? On view September 6, 2019–January 5, 2020, our new exhibition Crossing Lines, Constructing Home: Displacement and Belonging in Contemporary Art opens up new ways of understanding the immigrant experience. Curated by Makeda Best and Mary Schneider Enriquez, the exhibition features works by a global community of contemporary artists, including Do Ho Suh, Emily Jacir, Richard Misrach, and Graciela Iturbide.
