With the Harvard Art Museums’ renovated and expanded facility at 32 Quincy Street comes a brand-new destination for coffee, snacks, or a light meal. Jenny’s Cafe, run by catering and event design company The Catered Affair, sells food and drink in a simple and modern retail space on Level 1 of the museums, just off the Calderwood Courtyard.

The menu features many locally sourced items, including espresso drinks and drip coffees made with beans roasted by Jim’s Organic Coffee in West Wareham, Massachusetts; and Spindrift soda, produced in nearby Charlestown. A rotating daily selection of sweets and baked goods features options like cinnamon buns, biscotti, and macaroons.

Many of the cafe’s more substantial bites are wholesome and healthy, and include vegan and gluten-free selections. Grilled free-range chicken and edamame hummus sandwiches are on the menu, as are salads with roasted cauliflower and shaved brussels sprouts. The cafe also offers a variety of yogurts—fat-free, homemade, and goat-milk—with a choice of fresh fruit, homemade fruit compote, and granola toppings.

Table seating is available inside the cafe and in a section of the Calderwood Courtyard—both of which make relaxing settings for a casual meeting or meal. There is no admission fee required to visit the cafe, which is open daily from 10am to 4pm.

In addition to running Jenny’s Cafe, The Catered Affair will serve as the caterer for all corporate and social events held at the Harvard Art Museums, including those at the nearby Adolphus Busch Hall.
