As of today, the Harvard Art Museums are just 100 days away from the public opening of our renovated and expanded facility on Sunday, November 16. Since we closed the doors to the museums’ historic 32 Quincy Street building six years ago (or 2,230 days), construction workers have clocked more than one million labor hours. Our collections have been crated, moved, and unpacked not once, but twice, and staff have worked tirelessly to assess and prepare our collections for display in the museums’ more than 50 galleries and other public spaces.
The next 100 days will surely be filled with a number of last-minute touches, but who’s counting?
