Images acquired for study purposes may not be reproduced without a separate written agreement from the Harvard Art Museums.

The Harvard Art Museums does not charge a fee for the use of our images.

The population of Berlin is unevenly distributed. Berlin tenement houses are built to the very edge of the city without an intervening territory of cottage homes which accounts for the heavily dotted sections on the outskirts of the city map.
