Images acquired for study purposes may not be reproduced without a separate written agreement from the Harvard Art Museums.

The Harvard Art Museums does not charge a fee for the use of our images.

Housing, Conditions: United States. Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh Survey: Typhoid Fever Was Epidemic in Pittsburgh for more than 35 years. In the 25 years prior to Jan. 1, 1908, there were 54857 cases reported to the Bureau of Health. 8149 of these persons died as a result of their sickness.
