Technical Observations: The patina of both 175.1972 and 180.1972 is green with spots of underlying red. There are identical, raised gray-brown burial accretions on both pendants, and both appear to have come from the same site.
The pendants were cast from models made directly in the wax. A comparison of the size and shape of the two pendants shows that they are very similar, although not identical, and that they probably came from the same workshop. In areas where the original surface is well preserved, it is very smooth and was probably finished by burnishing. Cold working is limited to punch work in the eyes, horns, and face.
