Laura Muir oversees the museums’ academic and public programs, working closely with colleagues from all divisions of the museums and faculty and staff from across the university to provide academic and public audiences opportunities to engage with the museums and the collections. This includes Harvard University course collaborations, student programs, and public programs at the museums. She also directs the museums’ curricular installation program in the University Galleries. Muir specializes in European modern art and the history of photography. She has organized exhibitions and published on modernist and postwar photography, Anselm Kiefer, Lyonel Feininger, and the Bauhaus.
