Tatiana Cole specializes in the preservation and conservation of photographic materials. Her area of expertise encompasses early to contemporary photographic processes, including film, negatives, and time-based media. She has a special interest in the intersection of conservation, materiality of photographic works of art, and artist intent. Her research projects have focused on the Kodak Dye Transfer Process (an early color photographic process introduced in 1946) and the revival of the platinum photographic process of the late 1960s/early 1970s.
