Caitlin Clerkin is a specialist in the art and archaeology of the ancient Mediterranean and Middle East. She is particularly interested in local communities under empire and archival investigations of archaeological and museological practice. At the Harvard Art Museums, she is working with curatorial staff on a variety of projects across the ancient Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Middle Eastern collections, including a refresh of the ancient Greek gallery. Before coming to the museums, Clerkin worked at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
