The Harvard Art Museums are hosting a two-part workshop that explores how metal was used in art during the Middle Ages. This second session examines the techniques and technology of medieval metalworking.
Ittai Weinryb, assistant professor at the Bard Graduate Center; Francesca Bewer, research curator for conservation and technical studies programs at the Harvard Art Museums; and Katherine Emerin, the Patricia Cornwell Senior Conservation Scientist at the Harvard Art Museums, will lead the session.
This session will be held in the Materials Lab (Lower Level) and the Art Study Center (Level 4) at the Harvard Art Museums, 32 Quincy Street.
The workshop is free and open to the public, but space is limited.
