2008.314.8: Three Women Carrying Their Babies on Their Backs
PrintsSimplified, semi abstract shapes in black, printed on orange paper depict three stylized figures of women, almost identical, in long dark dresses and head shawls. The are each in profile walking down a city street slanting from upper left, toward the lower right past a brick wall beyond them. Each woman leans forward as they walk, each carrying a baby swaddled into a pack strapped on their backs. The figures are rendered as simplified shapes with faces and hands obscured.
