2008.314.4: A Woman and a Child Walking in the Street
PrintsSimplified, semi abstract shapes in black, printed on mauve colored paper depict a woman and a child in profile walking to the right. At center, a woman is depicted by a large cone shape with mauve lines and shapes incised into it, which describe her face in profile, the folds of her ankle-length dress, her shoulder and her hand clutching a woven basket. Just behind her, a small child walks alongside her, and triangular shapes behind them suggest a street receding into the middle distance.
