2008.314.7: A Man with His Arms Bound Behind Him
PrintsSimplified, semi abstract shapes in black, printed on orange paper depict a man with his arms tied behind him as he walks away from us. We see him from behind, as he lurches forward, his head bowed down and his shoulders hunched up. His elbows meet behind his back where they are bound together by a coil of rope. He trudges forward down a road that recedes in the distance at upper right. The background on either side of the road is indicated by blocks of dark space patterned with short hashmarks.
