Descriptions

Commentary
Inscriptions refer to the artists Giovanni Bellini (1431-6-1516), Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792; "Portrait of Sir Abraham Hume," 1783, listed in 1876 "Catalogue of Pictures at Ashridge"), Rembrandt (1606-1669; "Aristotle with a Bust of Homer"). Inscriptions on verso list train times and list of items required for the voluntary Artists Rifles annual camp.
