1943.420: There Was a Man in the Land of Uz (The Book of Job)
DrawingsAt center, wearing long robes and holding open books in their laps, a woman and a man sit facing the viewer, their eyes raised upwards. Beneath a large tree on which musical instruments are hung, they are surrounded their family. At left and right, seven sons holding shepherd’s crooks kneel, while three daughters kneel in front of them at center. In the foreground, a line of sheep lie sleeping. Behind the family a large flock of sheep grazes. In the distance at left a large stone church is seen while at right we see a row of barns.
