A woman and man seated beneath a tree surrounded by their family and a flock of sheep

At center, wearing long robes and holding open books in their laps, a woman and a man sit facing the viewer. Beneath a large tree they are surrounded their family. At left and right, seven sons holding shepherd’s crooks kneel, while three daughters kneel in front of them at center. In the foreground, a line of sheep lie sleeping. Behind the family a large flock of sheep grazes. In the distance at left a large stone church is seen while at right there is a row of barns. In the margin above the image in a cloud motif are the hand-lettered words to the first line of a prayer. Below is text from the biblical Book of Job, between a cow and sheep.
