Yan Yang works with Amy Brauer, the division’s curator of the collection, and assists curators in preparing permanent collections installations, special exhibitions, cataloguing projects, and collections research. She also gives gallery talks. Recently, she helped organize Adorning the Inner Court: Jun Ware for the Chinese Palace (2017) and Prehistoric Pottery from Northwest China (2016). Before arriving at the museums, Yang organized Chinese painting exhibitions, including the groundbreaking Fresh Ink: Ten Takes on Chinese Tradition (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 2010). Her research interests focus on East Asian art.
