Descriptions
- Description
- The preparatory drawing by Baur for this print is in the Hougton Library. The inscription on the drawing, uninscribed on the etching, reads: Illu.sme et Genero.sme Domino // D. D. Dedicat // Johann WIlhelm Baur Inuentor // 1641 Wienna; it is therefore considered the title page for the Italian Ports series.
