2009.11.5: Worker Celebrating His 50 Years of Service, from the portfolio "Hunger"
PrintsSoft sketchy lines depict a bald man with a short beard and dark glasses against a blank background. His head and face are rendered with some shaded areas, while his shoulders, shirt and coat are described with lines only and no shading. With a furrowed brow, he leans forward, his eyes visible through dark lenses. His face is gaunt and serious. A handwritten signature, “O Nagel” is at bottom left and in smaller block printing, just beneath the man’s lapel is written the full name, “OTTO NAGEL”
