All of the sheets in this series have stitch marks at their left edge and coloring at their other three edges, which indicates the former binding of this series within a larger volume. In fact Paul Prouté, from whom this series was purchased, had a number of Northern Mannerist engraving sets of the same sheet size for sale; evidently it was that print dealer who disassembled the volume. watermark: on each sheet: Grapes?
