  • inscription: verso, bottom center, graphite, handwritten, Latin and German: Bonasone / B76.-II Inv Petri de Nobilibus formis. Inp[...] Ju[...] B. inv[...]kau[...] (?) [According to Massari, in the fourth state the recto engraved inscription naming the publisher Lafrey is changed to "Petri de Nobilibus formis".]

  • watermark: eagle with head turned to proper left, within an oval, surmounted by a crown [most similar to Briquet 207 (Rome 1573-76); 208 (Pisa 1575-79); and 209 (Verona 1582-96)]
