A black and white photograph used as a book illustration.

The black and white photograph show a dark, grainy image of a well-muscled torso. In the place of a head an open-beaked creature rises from the left shoulder on a long thin neck across to the right shoulder. A bird perches on the left shoulder, its head pointing down. Above the figure a crown with six sharp points is placed on the diagonal. On the right side a climbing leave pattern reaches from the top almost to the bottom of the image. Flame like tongues flare back from the figure to the upper left side of the picture.
