This picture and that of Isaac Dupee were / left to a daughter Harriet Dupee Allen / wife of Ezra Allen (who was in the Dry / Goods business in Boston (see Boston Business /Directory for 1848) Ezra Allen later went to South / Hadley Mass engaged in paper making, / later went to Pawtucket R. I. in Dry Goods business, / later to Boston again in retail small wares & / notions) to Isaac Dupee Allen her son left to / Annie Luthera (Allen) Howell of Newtonville by him / in his will. She did not care for them / particularly & gave them to Herbert Dupee Allen / (thats me.). Isaac Dupee said to have been the / first clerk of Faneuil Hall Market Corporation. / Isaac Dupee Allen in business at 21 Winter St / Boston 1871 - 1898 when he died.Business carried on / by his sons Herbert & Fred at the same location.
