  • inscription: in plate, below image: LA PLACE ROYALE DE PARIS laquelle fut commancée l’an 1604. Par l’ordre de Henry 4. Et achevée quelque temps apres. Son dessein estoit d’y loger des Ouvriers et d’y établir des manufactures, mais par je ne sçay quell / changement des particuliers s’y sont faits des logemens magnifiques: La statue de Bronze de Louis 13 qui est au milieu est de Biar, et le Cheval qui la porte est de Daniel de Volterre. Ils furent posez l’an 1639. / A PARIS Chez. N. Langlois rüe s.t Jacque a la Victoire. Avec Privilege du Roy.
