Recorded Ownership History
Jean-Baptiste Joseph Ernest Cabadé, Valence d’Agen, by descent; to his wife, Marie Anaïs Minna de Calbiac, and daughters Marie Louise Eugénie de Laverrie de Vivans and Jeanne Cabadé,1917; Jeanne Cabadé, [1] sold; to [Hector Brame, Paris, 1924]. [Bernheim-Jeune, Paris, 1925]. [Thannhauser, Berlin, 1927 until at least 1928]. Mrs. Lussia Neumann (nee Eitingon), New York, sold [through Dr. A. Kronarher]; to [Justin K. Thannhauser, New York, by 1945], sold; to Arthur K. Solomon, c. 1946; The Arthur K. and Mariot F. Solomon Trust, bequest; to Harvard Art Museums, 2021

Notes
[1] When Jean-Baptiste Joseph Ernest Cabadé died in 1917 his déclaration de mutation par décès noted that his posessions, including works of art, were to be the communal property of his widow and daughters. In 1924, a Mme. Cabadé brought the painting to Hector Brame, and this is likely Jeanne, his unmarried daugher, as his wife Marie Anaïs Minna de Calbiac died in 1921.
