A woman dressed in a dark, high-collared dress with a golden trimmed inner-garment and gold chains draped across the bodice.

Portrait of a woman dressed in a dark, high-collared dress. The outer portion of the dress features large puffed sleeves ending in a lace cuff. Though dark, there appears to be a decoration embroidered into the velvet of the dress. Gold accents embellish the inner portion of the dress, while a sheer fabric creates a v-neckline. Gold chains drape across the bodice of the dress, matching the woman's gold earrings. Her strawberry-blond hair is pinned up into a bun and she gazes towards the viewer with a slight smile. A deep red curtain hangs behind Susan, brightening the otherwise dark background.
