2018.33.62.2: The final solution
PrintsRendered in sketched lines and washes of black ink, at left, is a close view of a wheeled cart with handles tilting back under the weight of several corpses piled onto it. Four individual faces of lifeless bodies can be seen hanging upside down, side by side with the legs of other bodies. At right, two men in flat caps and ill fitting clothes and overcoats, stand looking on. One leans on a shovel as the other readies a strap to go over the cart. At upper left, the numeral two appears, shaded with an ink wash.
