Rendered in fine lines against a vibrant background of fluid blocks of of black and light washes of gray, a dark skinned couple are surrounded by children in a living room. At center right, a woman in a dress looks at us as she sits in an armchair, cradling a small child to her shoulder. Next to her at left, a man in a suit stands looking at her, with his arm around her shoulder. A young girl at lower center holds flowers in one hand as she looks at us and leans against the woman’s legs. A young boy next to her at left, holds one hand up, palm open above her head, as a diamond shape inside a small circle hovers over his hand. An alternately positioned, lightly sketched face appears next to the faces of both the man and the woman.
