A silver compote dish on a decorated silver base.

The silver dish is oval with ends that slope down to the center. The base is round with a roughly finished surface and a raised design of figures performing activities with various types of tools. The dish is engraved with the words Rochester Institute of Technology School for American Craftsmen in appreciation of the Charlotte Fredericks Mowris Professorship in Contemporary Crafts first Conferred on Hans Christensen 1976.
