The men walk from left to right, over a short wooden bridge in the lower middle of the work. In front of the bridge, a muscular bearded man, left of center in three-quarter view in seated recline, looks right with a stern face. Behind the line of men are a few broken trees, one left of center has a woman holding onto a branch gesturing to two of the men who are turned back looking at her. The men on the right carry poles with objects of different shapes: circles, crescents, rectangles, wreathes, with a crown or cow on top.
