Descriptions
- Description
- Painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with irregular knife cut edges. The fragment has a white priming layer and strokes of orange and dark red paint. Each paint stroke is applied diagonally with respect to the canvas weave, with a brush, without taped edges. The dark red stroke has a dry brush edge effect, while the orange stroke has a wet smooth edge, but does not appear to have been taped. The dark red stroke is partially covered with a matte medium.
