Descriptions

Description
Painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with knife cut edges and no visible ground layer. Dark red paint is applied diagonally with respect to the canvas weave overall, with matte and glossy passages. Fibers are stuck to the glossy surface. The fragment has a turn edge, with red paint continuing over edge, with no staple or tack holes.
