Descriptions Description Two diagonal lines divide this monochromatic ink drawing into wide bands of land, sea, and sky. The dense patterning of the ocean’s surface spills over the horizon line in a wave that appears to leap at the sun. A small figure in the foreground provides a scale for the scene, hinting at the enormous size of the distant wave.
