A black and white print portrays a full-length view of a man on horseback.

This black and white print shows a man in Turkish costume seated on a horse and facing to the right. The horse strides forward on the hilly ground, its left front and back right legs raised. Its head is bowed, and ahead to the right is a short obelisk with a carved ornamental relief on its face. The horse is covered with a blanket under the saddle, and has a long, flowing tassel attached to its neck. The man wears voluminous Turkish robes and a turban, and he has a large, sheathed sword attached to his waist. In his right hand, he holds the horse’s reins, and in his right hand he carries a large scepter. In the upper left corner are the artist’s initials and date.
