A black and white print portrays a man seated at a table.

This black and white print shows a middle-aged man seated at a narrow table. Apart from the artist’s initials on the right-hand side, there is nothing on the dark wall behind him. He faces forward and looks directly out of the scene. He has short hair, a mustache and beard, and wears a long-sleeved shirt, a tunic and a fur vest. He stretches his arms out onto the table, putting his right hand on top of a blank sheet of paper, which rests on top of two books. His right hand covers two sheets of blank paper. Below the scene is a long inscription.
