There is no further information available about where Jane Scott purchased the coin. Byzantine coins, even gold solidi, were struck by the thousands and circulated widely in the Byzantine Empire from Spain, Italy to Greece, Bulgaria, the Balkans, Israel, Turkey and Syria.
