A man in a suit sits at a desk, drawing with a stylus.

Soft gray crayon lines depict a man with a beard and mustache wearing a derby hat and a suit and tie sitting at a desk. The man holds a stylus or crayon and looks intently at a lithography stone on which he is drawing. The stone is propped up by a slat underneath it so that it tilts toward him. The room is lit by sunlight from a window next to his desk and a partly visible window behind him.
