An older woman wears a dark dress with white lace collar and tied bow at the neck. Her dark hair is parted in the middle, with two tight curls at each ear. She has deep set eyes, slight wrinkles in the face, no smile. Her body faces three-quarter right as her head turns toward front, her left elbow rests on an arm rest. The background is undescribed, and the image is framed in ornately stamped metal inside a floral stamped leather daguerreotype case.
