Descriptions Commentary This print is a birth announcement for Lukas Oberhuber (born in Vienna on September 25,1967), the son of former Fogg drawing curator Konrad Oberhuber. Oberhuber was at Harvard from 1975 to 1987. Oberhuber commissioned the drypoint for the birth of his son and mailed them to his friends (the original mailing envelope accompanies the print). The artist, Robert Doxat (Austrian, b. 1930), studied art in Vienna in the 1950s. Although little is known of him, his prints can be found in the collections of museums and galleries in Austria as well as the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
