Botanical watercolor drawing of a blooming top of a Kaiserkrone plant rests in the middle of a page.

The cut stem is straight and topped with a crown of slender warm-green leaves bursting from the top, reminiscent of a pineapple. A whorl of yellow bell flowers with noticeable stamens hang down in this lily related plant. Bottom leaves are not depicted. Shading and highlights give the illustration depth. A shadow drawn underneath gives it depth and dimensionality, the background is plain antique white. Manuscript of the Latin name in the lower left.
