Gray burial accretions and iron corrosion products are present in many areas. The object is probably mineralized to a significant depth and appears never to have been cleaned. The object was probably cast from a model made directly in wax. The model could also have been created by pressing the wax into a simple form in order to obtain the exterior shape.
