1942.59: Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, Study for Chapel, Caldwell House, Newport Rhode Island
DrawingsThe young fair skinned woman faces us, arms to her side as her right hand gently holds up the fold of her cape containing a few pink flowers. Her head leans slightly to the left as her blue eyes look to the upper left. Her crown is gold, her hair light brown bangs parted in the center. Her dress is light blue and tied above the waist, under a pink cape that flows to the ground. Overall the colors are light and pastel hues, the background is bright spring greens with a blue watercolor wash sky.
