Descriptions

Description
Sketchbook with black paper covered cardboard covers, brown cloth covered spine and corners; two pencil sleeves; and the remains of cloth ties. Pages of off-white and brown wove paper. Sewn page block. Sketchbook is incomplete, with twenty-two pages remaining. Twenty-one drawings.The pages are numbered in red-brown ink in the upper right hand corner. Many pages are missing from the sketchbook and the page numbering apparently occurred after their removal. Removed were five pages between pages one and three; four pages between pages five and six; four pages between pages 12 and 13; two pages between pages 16 and 17; one between page 17 and 18; two pages between pages 18 and 19; four pages between pages 19 and 20; two pages between pages 20 and 21; and one between pages 21 and 22. Page two has been cut from the sketchbook and is loose, but still with the book.

Contents: Tyrolean landscapes, including Innsbruck, Zillerthal, Mühlsturzhorn, Hintersee, Zell am See, Vischbachhorn, Mayrhofen; goats.
