K. Eremin, January 2014Technical Observations: The patina is mottled light and dark green, with tan and white accretions on the interior surface. The bracelet was made from a sheet of metal that was cut and hammered. The intricate surface pattern was fashioned with a hammer and chisels. The spiral terminals of the bracelet were cut and curled back into tight spirals. The shorter ends were probably originally the same length as the more complex ends, as indicated by the fact that they finish in slightly rough edges. The shape of the bracelet is slightly distorted, and there are a couple of dents on one of the edges.
