Viktor Schreckengost, sold [through Cleveland Art Show, 1930 or 1931?]; to Samuel Stevenson, Elyria OH, by descent; to his daughters, Mrs. Beryl Hermes and Ms. Maude Breseman (1970s to 1992) sold; [to Cincinnati Art Galleries (1992-1994)], sold; to Harvard University Art Museums, 1994.

Notes:
May have been purchased directly from artist. Letter from Cincinnati Art Galleries notes that "Mr. Stevenson was the chief ceramist at Harshaw Chemical Company of Elyria, Ohio, a major manufacturer of glaze colors. Mr. Stevenson was often called upon to troubleshoot problems at Harshaw accounts, among them Cowan Pottery in Rocky River, Ohio, where he became acquainted with Schreckengost and his work."
