  • inscription: lower right, red chalk: H de la Bretonnier 1755[?]; old mount: Rubens inv. Bretonnier del / The Four Doctors of the Church see no. 606 Lindner cab.; mount: Appears to be a copy from the engraving by Corn. Van Dalen. See Max Rooses pl. 128 vol. 2 Mongan Sachs.
