1943.403: The Presentation in the Temple ("Simeon was not to See Death before he had Seen the Christ")
DrawingsAt center, a robed man with a long white beard faces the viewer and with raised eyes he holds a small child in his hands. A halo around its head, the child looks directly at the viewer. At lower right, a man and a woman in robes kneel with bowed heads and folded hands. At left, and elderly woman stands with two doves at her feet, and bows toward the child. Seven bearded men in robes all stand behind the man, looking on.
